Empress

My newest piece , "Empress" is an idea I had while I was looking at the sea from my balcony. I've always wanted to incorporate a fantasy character drawn with a semi-realistic style into one of my abstract pieces , so i thought "why not?". I've always thought that life would be different and exciting if mermaids swam in the depths of the ocean so I built a story about the journey of a mermaid empress in my head where she faced the terrors and the predators of the seas whilst on a search for happiness, joy and adventure. This piece depicts the troubles and turmoil she went through amidst her journey.
